ISO 26262 Certified eFPGA IP for Automotive Applications

Achronix and CS Group - Canada
Partner to Develop ISO 26262 Certified eFPGA IP for Automotive Applications

ISO 26262 Functional Safety FPGA

Achronix Semiconductor Corporation, a leader in high-performance FPGAs and embedded FPGA (eFPGA) IP solutions, announces a strategic partnership with CS Group – Canada (CS Canada) to develop the first ISO 26262 certified eFPGA IP tailored for automotive applications.

The collaboration between Achronix and CS Canada represents a significant step forward in addressing the growing demand for ISO 26262-certified ASICs in automotive systems, particularly in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Driving applications. Achronix’s Speedcore eFPGA IP offers crucial advantages such as data processing acceleration, ultra-low-latency detections, consistent timing operations, and the flexibility required to adapt to the rapidly evolving autonomous driving application.

“We are excited about the partnership with CS Canada to deliver ISO 26262 certified eFPGA IP for automotive ASICs,” said Robert Blake, CEO of Achronix.

“This collaboration underscores our commitment to providing innovative solutions that meet the stringent safety requirements of the automotive industry.”

CS Canada, renowned for its expertise in certification processes and compliance with safety standards, will play a pivotal role in certifying Achronix’s future Speedcore generations. The first milestone has already been achieved with the certification of the Speedcore development process, marking a significant advancement towards ISO 26262 certification for Achronix’s eFPGA IP.

“Our partnership with Achronix represents a synergistic effort to bring certified eFPGA IP to the automotive market,” said Amine Smires, CEO of CS Group – Canada and USA.

“By combining Achronix’s innovative technology with our certification capabilities, we aim to provide automotive manufacturers with reliable and efficient solutions for their safety-critical applications.”

The Achronix team has completed extensive training for its safety team and conducted thorough reviews of internal processes to ensure compliance with ISO 26262 standards. Customers and industry stakeholders are encouraged to contact Achronix for the latest updates on Speedcore IP certifications and availability.
