Technical Project Manager – Autonomous Systems

CS Group Canada functional safety and certification office provides support in all the phases of developing a functional safety relevant project, implying the usage of functional safety standards. The group is comprised of functional safety experts and professionals certified by TÜV. It is a multidisciplinary group with system, software, hardware, verification, safety and cybersecurity engineers to tackle any functional safety challenges from the Autonomous & Electric cars as well as the Air Mobility industries.


CS Group – Canada is looking for a Technical Project Manager. Main responsibilities will be to manage critical embedded software development and verification projects of an Autonomous Driving platform in an ISO 26262 environment.



• Manage all phases of the projects (kick-off, planning, execution, monitoring & control, and closure) while respecting contract mandate

  • Coordinate the activities of software development and verification of critical embedded software (autonomous systems) to meet quality standards like ISO 26262 & ASPICE

• Coordinate and interface with various stakeholders involved in the execution of the project

• Manage customer relationship, customer expectations and ensure customer satisfaction

• Define workloads and staffing needs based on scope and milestones

• Ensure profitability of the projects

• Identify problems and provide plans of corrective action

  • Analyze and mitigate risks

• Responsible for internal and external reporting

• Responsible for all purchasing needs and management of suppliers involved on the project


  • Bachelor of Engineering in a related field
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar position
  • Expertise in project management in the field of automotive, aeronautics or software engineering
  • Mastery of the V-shaped software development cycle and Agile software development methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of standard ISO 26262 (or DO-178B/C , or EN50128).
  • Experience in managing a multidisciplinary team, and suppliers
  • Mastery of Excel and Project Management tools
  • PMP (asset)
  • Bilingualism (French and English) both oral and written
  • Candidates need to be located in Canada
